Where
is Tintern?
Tintern is
a particularly scenic village nestled in the Wye Valley on the west
bank of the River Wye in Monmouthshire, Wales. It is close to the
border with England and easily found about 6 miles north of Chepstow
on the main A466.
The village of Tintern is famous for the ruined Abbey. It is one
of the most spectacular ruins in the country and has inspired many
people, William Wordsworth, Alfred, Lord Tennyson and paintings by
J. M. W. Turner
